If your paint looks like the image on the left, your steeple could require new custom milled moldings.

When repairs are improperly performed or delayed, structural damage may be irrepairable. Safety then becomes the principal issue as the steeple becomes vulnerable to high winds.

During a heavy wind storm, this steeple in Richland, PA was propelled from the bell tower landing into the front yard below. Below are photos of the project in various stages of rebuilding and reinstallation.

While removing deteriorated flashing for replacement, we discovered considerable structural damage had occurred to the 12 x 12 oak corner posts. At this point steeple removal was the only safe option. (Stoudsburg, PA)

Moisture entry from the ornament base flashings made an inviting home for termites. The entire top 16 foot of all 8 main ridge beams were seriously damaged from termites.

4 x 6 rafters were heavily damaged. New 2 x 6 pressure treated boards were sistered to each side and carriage bolted together.

Persistent bell tower leaks caused this 12 x 12 oak beam to totally deteriorate in the center.
