When It's Time for a Replacement
Any gutter that is built into the structure of the roof is called a 'built-in gutter.' These gutters are different than gutters that hang from the edge of a roof or are attached to the fascia. When leaks arise, these gutters are often cemented to no avail.
Gutter leaks that go unchecked can cause substantial interior and structural damage.
This church, in downtown Reading, PA had significant structural damage beneath the gutter system because years of "cheap patches" allowed moisture to attack the underlying wood decking and rafters without being noticed from the inside of the sacntuary unitl it was too late.
