Any gutter that is built into the structure of the roof is called a 'built-in gutter.' These gutters are different than gutters that hang from the edge of a roof or are attached to the facia. When leaks arise, these gutters are often cemented to no avail.

Gutter leaks that go unchecked can cause substantial interior and structural damage.
